Hi there! Thank you for clicking and checking out our blog, ‘Our Story.’

We are Emma and Millie - or ‘Em and M’ - of Em ‘n’ M’s Parties. We’re a mother-daughter run small business and we’re here to share our journey in the building of our business with you. Here, we will be sharing content separate from our social media platforms where we show you what we do with our business and how we do it, whether it has a successful outcome or not. 

What can we do for you?

The aim of this blog is to document our journey, for both our learning and development, and maybe for yours too - because sometimes it’s easier when we’re in things together. We want to help to create a  community of new business owners who help and inspire each other. If you would like to join our community, please like, share, and/or comment. The only rule of our community is kindness, and kindness only. We’ll be sharing personal, honest, and potentially vulnerable content - we want to remain as open with you as possible.

We’re all human and we all need to treat each other as such.

How are we going to do it?

For our first step in our blogging journey, we’ve decided to go against advice from all those in the know, we won’t be focusing on just one platform at a time - despite neither of us being particularly social media-minded people, we figured ‘why not go for all of the pies?!’  We will focus more on content itself, so sometimes our blog posts may be a bit slower. 

In my day job, I’m an educator and my top priority is always to reach my learners and their own individual needs. This is something to carry through to the community we hope to build here, reaching each other for support in different ways - whether that be a blog for the reader or bitesized posts on our Instagram.
